Why Your Blog Needs Search Engine Optimization to Survive
Recently, I decided to revisit and update some of my older blog posts. During this process, I leaned on artificial intelligence to help refactor my writing. AI has a reputation for producing robotic or unnatural text. If you read unedited AI output it is painfully obvious a human did not write it. However, using precise prompts changed my perspective entirely.
The AI provided actionable critiques that forced me to look at my writing differently. My earlier posts read like a casual chat with a friend. Talking to a public audience requires a specific structure and vocabulary. You cannot rely on inside jokes or assumed knowledge when writing for the internet. You have to clearly define your subject matter.
The Truth About Keywords
The biggest lesson I learned was about search visibility. You can write fantastic content, but it will never reach an audience if you ignore search intent. In the past, I never paid attention to keywords or meta tags. I just wrote what made sense to me.
The Foldable Phone As a Productivity Machine Example
Take my previous post titled "Unfolding Knowledge" as a primary example. I wrote about using a foldable phone as a central productivity machine to manage notes, website content and other daily tasks. To me the title was clever and poetic. To someone across the world searching for replacing a computer with a phone tips, the title meant absolutely nothing.
Because I ignored what actual users type into search engines, that post was doomed to sit on the 20th page of search results. As we all know almost no one looks beyond the second page. I had built a great workflow, but I failed to communicate it in a language the internet could understand.
Learning to Play the Visibility Game
It is incredibly frustrating to build a great tool or write a brilliant guide only to remain invisible online. Search engine optimization is a required skill. You must learn the rules of keywords, meta descriptions and search intent. Treat it like any other system you need to master. By combining honest writing with smart keyword strategies and AI feedback, you can finally get your content the audience it deserves.
